Trudy Dahl and Pat Capps walked side by side on treadmills at the YMCA Haselwood family shortly after 8:00 Wednesday, minutes after the official opening.

"We look forward to it," said Dahl, 67, of Bremerton, like his friend and neighbor, Capps, played with instruments on the treadmill of high technology.

As they became familiar with the new treadmill - they not only checked their pace, but the outside temperature - the women said they plan to come to "Y" at least three times a week to use the cardio machines and to take water aerobics.With nothing else in the region that offers such a variety of equipment and classes, Dahl and Capps - who joined in December - could not wait any longer.
