Kathy Cromwell was not happy.
Overweight and out of shape, she had a revelation in August 2007, just before a business meeting. A glimpse of herself in a full-length mirror on the left with an amazing achievement.
"I said, 'You look like a big plum," Cromwell said.
She wondered when she would get fully committed to physical fitness and healthy eating after a few false starts.
"And that's the right thing. Think of myself as a big fat piece of fruit."
Cromwell said she is now in the best shape of his life at age 46 and credits his ability to be strong and flexible with excellent endurance to a new way to exercise: CrossFit.

You can buy a leather rope or a speed rope. Speed ropes are plastic and have a little bit of a "feel" to it when you spin around. Wear some high socks or else it'll hurt when they catch your shins. If you're a short person, make sure you get a shorter rope or else it'll feel really weird and tiring for your arms to hold it up.
Get a heavy plastic washing line and cut it into jump rope size pieces. You want a heavyish plastic. I skipped for 19 years and tried ALL the latest ones but a washing line was always my choice. The main issue is the surface that you are using to skip on...... for the long term health of your back, ankles, hips and knees keep away from hard surfaces.
